Ben is Content Director of Drum, the PHD group company which specialises in creating content-led communications for brands and advertisers.

Ben started his career as a Lion Keeper at Woburn Safari Park before joining media planning and buying agency Walker Media. Missing the daily dance with death he left after a year to chase his millions, starting an online media company during the dot com boom. Millions chased but never caught, two years later, he re-joined Walker Media in a new business role. Following two successful years there in which Walker Media won more new business than any other agency he was persuaded to join the sales department for Flextech Television and UKTV as Commercial Development Manager. It was there that Ben was involved in his first ad-funded programme, Baby Squad on UKTVStyle.

In his role as Content Director at Drum, Ben has overseen the UK’s biggest ever ad-funded programme The Krypton Factor on ITV1, winner of a Silver Lion at Cannes. Ben currently looks after content strategy and creative for Drum clients Cadbury, Sainsbury’s, Sage, Simple, Yell.com and INGDirect.

Drum has been working with brands for over 15 years and in 2005 set up a film production division, Drum Screen. In 2009, this was extended to include online production.
