About
Jon Morris has worked for a number of years as a professional actor and director. As well as working with many professional companies nationally, he has been involved in the development and delivery of many projects focussed on, around and for young people. These include directing large scale community productions such as artSites Birmingham’s A City of Villages and the youth musical City Child for mac.
He worked for three years in mac’s education department as Youth Theatre Director and spent a year working as the West Midlands Regional Development Officer for the National Association of Youth Theatres.
Jon has worked extensively in education, devising directing and writing projects for schools such as All The Way Back for Schism Theatre and Night School for Language Alive/The Playhouse.
He has worked extensively with many other educational theatre companies such as Catalyst, Women and Theatre, Loudmouth and the Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah. He has also undertaken a number of residencies in schools and has lectured in both Further and Higher education settings.
