Pip Piper

About

In 1997, Pip Piper left work as a full-time youth worker to establish the media charity One Small Barking Dog, which had grown from helping local young people make short films. Over the past 10 years, OSBD has grown into an internationally recognised organisation making short films for and with young people.

In that 10 years, Pip has produced over 100 short films that range from the educational and charity sectors to corporate media, short film and TV. The films ranged from 2-50 minutes duration with budgets from no budget to over £75,000.

In 2002, Pip began developing feature films and has developed his role as a producer working with established film industry figures. To further enhance this aspect of Pip’s work, he joined forces with Rob Taylor to form Blue Hippo Media in 2006.

Blue Hippo’s latest feature film, The Insatiable Moon, is due to shoot January 2009 in New Zealand with multi-award winning director Gillies Mackinnon, Timothy Spall and James Nesbitt.

Pip is on the board of reference for Damah Film Festival in Los Angeles and is a director of the West Midlands Producers Forum.
